In the beautiful Warrumbungles National Park, each November is a great concert. We provide a huge circus skills play-space for the children’s entertainment. We have worked at this concert for the last three years, and are getting to know the children and watch some of them grow up. Parents were thrilled their children were entertained and learning skills.

Primary and High School students alike enjoyed the antics of our show. We had a very supportive interactive back row in the audience. After our presentation they showed us their talents in a circus skills workshop. Students at this school seemed to have a strong ‘Can-Do’ attitude: good on you all!

Students were glad to see us again, and remembered us from 2004 when we performed there last. Miss Draper stole the show when she volunteered in the unicycle scene. We loved performing against the beautiful hand-painted backdrop. Here are some beautiful drawings by the students.

A surprisingly cool wind for Wilcannia this Wednesday morning, we had a warm and friendly welcome from Teachers and students who worked together to set up the seating, and helped us bring in the costumes from the car. We did a show for the whole school, and the preschool kids came over as well. We thought, “Wow, Wilcannia what a nice place”. The students and teachers were all lovely.

We performed our show with all of year 7 and drama students from years 7, 8, 9 and 10. We’re not sure who was funnier, them or us! They then had a drama student circus skills workshop where they all had a turn at juggling, poi, unicycle, hula-hoops, and we finished with a show off-session. Post your comments or questions here!

We did our show and then had two workshops with Narromine High. The local Fitness Centre let us use their basketball courts to perform on. The most unusual thing about the students in Narromine High, is how many natural jugglers there are. Everyone got up and had a go at stilts, spinning plates, diabilo, hula hoops, devil stix, juggling, poi and unicycle. It was very exciting to so many smiles and so much playing around. People from Narromine, if you have any questions or comments for us, please click below!

Circus West - Dubbo
Thursday 2nd November 2006
We performed for circus stars of the future. Circus west has been operating from Dubbo West Primary since 1991. They perform unicycles, walking globe, poi, and a vast array of circus manipulation. It all started from a lunchtime circus and has grown and grown. What a fantastic audience. We got hugs, they anticipated our lines, they gave us new jokes, and meanwhile back-stage a huge windy rainstorm blew our costumes and props all over the place. After the show we shared juggling, clown, and hula-hoop tricks.
